Can't connect external instruments to cubase Le 4 le in Devices VST connections.

Do you mean Cubase 4 le or Cubase LE 4? Do you mean standard insruments (like a Guitar) thru your interface?

An input port can only be used once.

So a port that you want to use for external instrument can't be used anywhere else.

Then again, I don't think SE does external instruments, check on Steinburg about that.
