Default CPU Overload

When I record with effects from Guitar Rig 3 inside of Cubase 4, I keep getting this message.

What should I do?

And if I hit OK after the dialogue box, everything still gets recorded...it's quite odd.

Any suggestions?

Sorry...I put it in my Title.

The message says: CPU Overload/Audio Dropout detected.

This only occurs when I have effects from Guitar Rig active in Cubase.

What should I do?

I've seen that term "Freeze" a lot. Can someone explain exactly what that does? Thanks

Well that video has some of the worst resolution I've ever seen. What exactly is freezing, how do I do it, and what does freezing accomplish?

Heres another one

YouTube - How to freeze Cubase 4 External FX

Freeze is a button that you find on each track, insert and virtual instrument. It bounces the current track or instrument and its effects and replaces it with the actual .wav file, so you can keep working on the rest of the mix without consuming CPU on effects do dont need to tweak anymore. If you want to edit these again, you click unfreeze and the wav is replaced by the editable track / instrument.

Look for it. Its in the cubase help Im sure.

Cakewalk Sonar 7 handles this even better

And this will work with effects from a hosted program such as guitar rig?

And I will also be able to record while the track is "frozen"?

I'm very confused right now, but if you say it works I don't have a reason to doubt you
