Changing Audio Input Levels

I've just started using Cubase LE 4 however have encountered my first problem. When I open the mixer it only displays "Stereo Out" levels, and the audio track levels, however it does not display any Input levels. The book i'm using constantly refers to such input levels but I cannot even see them! To help I have attached a screenshot.

I leave all my input levels in cubase set to unity gain (0db) and adjust them in my audio hardware mixer.

But they are there. On the left is a lot of icons like midi, audio, rewire, etc. You click these to see/hide strips of that type.

There is an input bus button and an output button on SX3, should be there, hold a mouse over it and get a tool tip to see what it is.

Cubase LE 4 doesnt show the inputs on the mixer... Just the audio tracks and out put... got to steinberg.net to check the differences between LE and regular versions.
