BFD lite, Cubase LE4, and Vista is buttcrack

I've been using Cubase LE4 and BFD lite from my Presonus propak bundle on my studio computer and works all sorts of pretty, and has been.

But now I got a home computer with Vista Ultra and used the same 2 disks and just can't get BFD to show up as one fo the VST instruments in cubase. I've installed drivers, un-installed both software 3 times, tried so many things and just can't get this stupid thing to work.

Am I just pissing in the wind here? If I have to, is there a way to install XP and choose a Vista/XP boot option on startup? I got my cable TV running through Vista so I want to keep it on there.

I think if you have XP professional there will be a place during setup that you can select to setup a dual boot.

I did it one time, been a while.

Boot to the XP CD.

I've heard of doing that. So the install disk will have the option of just booting from XP and not replacing Vista?
