Default Automap not showing up in devices

i got a novation nocturn keyboard (usb) and i would like to utilize it as a daw controller. i understand you have to use the automap software in order for this to function properly. i have updated the drivers and uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times...

so the deal is, under midi ports it shows the automap and the keyboard just like it is supposed to and it works fine as a midi controller. under device setup, remote devices, i should be able to add a device and the novation automap is supposed to be in the list. for the life of me i cant get it in the list. until the automap is in the list and selected i wont be able to use the keyboard as a daw controller.

i have windows 7 ultimate and have a lot of things disabled or selected to manual (i'm down to about 26 processes), is it possible one of these processes needs to be autostarted or enabled? this is the only thing i can think of unless im really missing something.

does anybody have any ideas here?

If it is infact a process that needs started does anyone have any suggestions where to start?

Before going into Cubase Go to Start > Click the Plugin Manager in the list on left side of the task bar. When the Plugin manager opens it scans for plugins. Make sure you include all of your plug in locations at the bottom of the box. Click the boxes for all of the plugs you want Automap to control. Click ok to close. Go into Cubase, you should see Novation Automap in the device list now.

Yes i did that, it shows the .dll files in the vst folder with (automap) behind it. I just cant seem to get it to show in device manager. I think the vsts work, but i cant use the stop, record, play, etc buttons on the keyboard to control cubase, i will check the vsts i seleceted and make sure they work. I want ti really utilize the keyboard for the actual controller, i can use it for group and master volume while mixing as well as whatever else i can program.

What version of AM are you using? I use 3.5 on my Win 7x64 setup.I seem to recall I may have had to uninstall and reinstall when I set my up some time ago to get it working properly. After that it's worked fine.

Automap requires several services. I remember having problems with it because I disabled "bonjour service" which is used for the iPhone integration but will break the whole thing if disabled.

If that's all good then open up the Automap GUI
In the settings menu enable "Use Automap HUI"
Now open your DAW and look for "Automap HUI" in your MIDI/Controllers/peripherals options.
The keyboard needs to be in Mixer mode (push the Mixer button!) to send HUI messages.

I have ~56 processes running at any given time and my PC works great (and I'd consider that tweaked), I've gotten into trouble disabling things before. It's so tough to figure out what things depend on a certain service.

I know idisabled bonjour, i will turn it on and see what happens, i started disabling services to bring down my latency. During playback while mixing even after freezing tracks ihave been getting a lot of cracking pops etc. After disabling services i went from 40ms to 20 ms. Ive been looking at getting a new interface and it might be sooner than later.

i enabled bonjour as well as other services and i still cant get it to show in devices. i have enabled the automap HUI but it does not show up in cubase anywhere. i ma bale to control vsts that i have wrapped but the transport buttons on the keyboard dont do anything. i have tried uninstalling again, but it seems to be saving my settings, how can i ensure that i have completely removed all of automap from my system before reinstalling?
