Default audio feedback

does anyone know why when i import an audio file i get light feedback. if someone can help me with that issue i'd greatly appreciate it. i am working with cubase le witha lexicon lambda interface

So you mean you import a file INTO your project and then it sounds funny? Perhaps you are monitoring it through the Lambda and also through Cubase LE. The delay from latency will make it sound like an echo effect. Try turning off the monitoring button on the track.

nah i mean i get a light buzzing sound on any imported file
but if i play that file in another player its clear

Well then, if you don't have any unconnected cables hanging out of the inputs, and if you have all the unused channels on the Lambda turned off, and you don't have the Lambda sitting 5 inches away from your CRT monitor, I don't know what the problem could be.

When you play the file in the other player is it going to the same signal chain - as in same soundcard/interface, same speakers? If not, your problem might be there. Can you record some audio in Cubase that is not imported and see if it buzzes?
