Hi folks,I'm running XP Pro and cubase sx3 but I recently got another 2 gig's of memory for a total of 4 gig and the problem with that is that the 32 bit operating system only recognizes a little over 2 gig of memory. So I was curious if anyone has used the 64 bit xp pro for their recording as I had heard that there were a lot of unresolved issues with drivers ect.Thanks,Cheers.

I know this thread is in the Cubase forum but I use Reaper on XP64 Bit and it works very well. Before I bought XP64 I too read negative things about it. Things like driver support isn't that good and all that. It's a bunch of hogwash.
I had no problems at all finding XP64 drivers for all my hardware. Everything is functioning fine, including my recording software. There have been a few times my printer has not printed when I told it to, but that is rare.
You're probably still better off with XP64 than any flavor of Vista. My system seems more responsive now. Maybe cuz I got 4GB of RAM instead of 3.
Plus you can get XP64 for $140. I'd say it's definitely worth it.
Hey thanks for your input 357mag,glad to hear it works good for you.I think I'm going to have to try this,if it works with reaper I don't see why it shouldn't work with cubase.Would be great to hear feedback from a few others who use 64 bit too, anyone else have any opinions or insights?
