Question Brass Knobs and Tuning Pegs Rusting ?

Hey ,

My buddie has a schecter bass with brass knobs and stuff how do i fix the rusting or old lookingness of this ?

Well the knobs were likely gold plated (which it looks like from the pictures) and the plating wore off due to a lack of maintainance (wiping down the knobs after playing, etc). Gold hardware also has a tendency to tarnish very quickly. Replacing the part or having it replated which isnt cheap are the only real options.
