Default Using midi in Nuendo with the LM7

Would somebody be willing to tell me how to build a drum performance in nuendo using midi and the LM7.
I gotta tell ya i am a total midiot. Ive never attempted to use it even once.

I understand a bit about midi and the fact that its not audio. I understand that to get the drums to play ill be assigning commands of some sort, but i have no clue how to do this.

Also could a program like this take the place of something like groove agent or ez drummer, or is the LM7 just something completely differnt from that?

And can my Roland DR 880 drum machine be used in conjunction with these programs?

Thanks for reading this midiocy.

You had it figured out before I saw it.

Midi is cool and basically simple, but can get really complex. Amazing these guys designed the protocol so long ago and it's still doing everything it needs to do.

What's a performance?

So your creating a drum part from scratch with a midi keyboard or pads?

Some like to record in a loop, first do kick then next pass snare etc.

Or your talking about assembling a bunch of midi beats and fills to go with a song?

Ah thanks tac, somebody really did care. I posted this about a month ago and, i wasnt even going to look again in the midi forum.

Basically, i just wanted to know how to program nuendos drums to play a song. I dont know if its anything like easy drummer or any of the others, but you can write some pretty cool drum trax really easy.

You dont even have to use an outside controller. You can just use the pencil in Nuendo.

If you specifics id be happy to give them to you. But simply put,, I have never been so scared of something so useful and easy to use as midi.
