Default Setting up my Yamaha PSR-620 as a midi controller in Protools 8.

Hey, I'm new to this whole thing. I just got Protools 8 with the Mbox Mini. A family member gave me their old Yamaha PSR-620 keyboard and I've been trying to set it up as a midi controller. Currently I have my keyboard hooked up to my computer via USB but I'm unable to make it work in Protools. I went to

Setup > Midi > Midi studio setup and tried to create an instrument but it isn't listed under the Yamaha products. I know there is a way in making this work but I'm clueless as to how to do it!!! Help!!

What is it going to control?

You have a VSTi? (virtual instrument?)

If the keyboard has a USB bus you need to download and install the generic midi driver from yamahasynth and install it.

Then when you have a VSTi setup you can select the yamaha midi port as an input for that track then play it/record it realtime.

Yeah, I wanna use some of the virtual instruments in Protools. I have the keyboard connected with a cord with midi cables on one side and a USB on the other, I know that works cus I got it working in Reason for a little while.

I went to the Yamaha website but it doesn't seem to have the drivers for this keyboard there.
