Default record roland td-4 with lexícon omega

hi there, i just bought a lexicon omega recorder, and id like to record my td-4 roland electronic drums. the thing is im totally green on this area.

my drums are connected with a jack-stick in the "instrument" stick of the lexicon, and the lexicon is connected to my laptop, and im running the cubase 4 software. i can hear the drums, when plugging my headphones in the lexicon, but i cant get it record anything?

i've tried several different channels on the MIDI settings, didnt help though. it registers the drum on the lexicon, but wont record em?

MIDI signals are only sent over MIDI cable between MIDI ports. I wonder if you are using regular cables for the audio signal ?? If so, just record the Audio. MIDI is another can of worms : )

The omega is an interface and has midi I/O so just get some cables and hook it up.

It's not that hard to get recording the midi your drums put out then send it back to your drums to sound or use a VSTi like EZdrummer for the drum sounds.

Also you shouldn't hook up the audio output of your drums to the instrument input because that is usually a Hi-z TS jack. You should use line in jacks in the back.

That's if you want the sound of your drums. Depends on what your trying to do.
