I've been wondering this too. Hey if you're with Cubase today (I'm with Kontakt but dongleless so I can't open cubase), go into Kontakt, hit the output button. Select your surround channels and delete. Select your output 2 channels and delete. Now hit the save as default button. Close Kontakt (and probably cubase), re-open and see if you now have reduced channels showing up in the mixer in cubase. I'm not sure what will happen. R. |

I tried your idea. It didn't seam to make any difference. The problem is I have 6 different channels for "surround" outputs from Kontakt2. This is wonderful, but I'm not doing any surround mixing. There were 2 default surround outputs in the Kontakt 2 options. So it appears that there is no direct correlation between how you setup the outputs in Kontakt 2 and the Cubase SX3 mixer. I'll do some searching on this. This is my biggest problem I have with my rig at the moment (besides the 10 terrabytes of samples I can't afford). Brandon |
