Question Midi Keyboard controls

Ok here's the deal I've got the M-Audio Keystation 49e USB MIDI Controller Keyboard & my friend has the M-Audio Axiom 61 USB MIDI Controller. My question is how do you make the other controls on the keyboard control things in the Vsti's.
example in NI's B4 I want the 9 fader controls on the keyboard to control the drawbars in the Vsti or maybe the sustain pedal to control the leslie speed. Any one who can help me with this is a good person and is almost guaranteed a good seat in the afterlife...

i have the 49 key also, and i would like to know the same thing. also, if i may add something to the question, is there a way to sequence MIDI, then use MIDI controls on the keyboard like pitch bend and mod wheel to add MIDI data in real time to the sequenced track during playback??

Im having the same exact issue with the same exact model midi keyboard. If you come across the solution to this problem email me something. I want to be able to control pro tools with my midi keyboard but i have no clue how to get it to sync up. csjrmusic@gmail.com

it depends on the DAW software you're using.

sometimes it's simply right clicking the control you want to link, then turning the knob on the controller. Sometimes it's more complicated.

I'm not 100% sure how to do it in 7.4 in the year I had 7.4 I don't think I linked controllers even once. The Digidesign virtual instruments like Xpand should allow you to link with the right click, but others may not.

OK. Yea i have the xpand working just fine. Im just not sure if I can have my play button on my midi controller control the play buton on my pro tools. It would be similar to working on a mixer. Right now im using the Mbox

I think ProTools requires that your device use the Mackie HUI. I'm pretty sure you need drivers for your midi controller that allow ProTools to interact. I would go look for drivers from the manufacturer of the controller. Presumably if it has a play button, it is designed to work with controllers in this way. Alternatively, you could try a Google search for your controller plus protools plus transport control... might turn up something.
