I am changing my studio from a standalone DAW (Roland VS2000CD) and PC running Reason to a Mac based system with Cubase. I've purchased a Presonus Firestudio and a Macbook Pro. Here's the issue...I have 2 midi keyboards, a midi pad controller and a midi guitar and when composing jump around on all of them. All use USB. The Mac only has 2 USB ports. The firestudio has none. Do I dare use a USB splitter, or just resign myself to only plugging in 2 midi devices at a time? Thanks, |

If you have MIDI thru on any of your gear, you should be able to chain them .. ? Also if you get a good USB 2.0 hub (5-7 port) This will usually come with a power supply, you will be able to run many extra USB devices from it.
