Exclamation Mapping Yamaha DTXplorer to Addictive Drums

hi! I'm new to recordingview.com

So, after connecting everything and finally getting a signal I've come across this annoying mapping problem.
I want to use my Yamaha DTXplorer triggered to Addictive Drums, but I'm hitting the drum pieces and getting the wrong sound, or no sound at all...

I am currently using:
iMac
Logic pro 8
Line 6 POD X3
M-Audio Midi Sport Uno
Yamaha DTXplorer (to trigger with Addictive Drums)

Since the DTXplorer module does not allow me to change midi notes # to each trigger piece, And the software I need is not Mac compatible...
I'm gnurkuff up...

Need some help please, my band urgently needs to record, and it'll work out much better if we can use the DTXplorer to Addictive Drums...

All help is welcome. Cheers!

I ran into this problem the other (with the DTXplorer).

You have to get a program called Edrum Monitor (Edrum Monitor - Home) and Midi YokeNT (link on that other site). Then go through and remap each pad.
On page 31 of the DTX manual you will find midi note numbers for each pad and Addictive Drums will have documentation on what numbers each pad should be set to.

Hope this helps!

Anyone knows any solution for MAC users. I am using logic pro. In windows using cubase is not a problem, but I can't figure it out in MAC. :-(

You're right there's Midipipe but it doesn't provide appropriate remapping for the DTXplorer unfortunately. I tried it but its very limited and it doesn't work with EZ Drummer. It does offer some help depending on the DAW being used. For example, with Garageband it will only resolve the mapping for about 40% of the drum kits available, but it does help somewhat. But with Logic Pro 8, the DAW itself can be remapped completely to adapt to the Yamaha midi format and that will allow a user to use all the available kits without using a third party program such as Midipipe.

There are programs such Battery 3 which have a "learn" feature which work 100% but the program is costly at $229 US. Considering that Logic Pro 8 has a fantastic drum machine built in for free, there isn't much sense in getting Battery 3.

Since the DTXplorer does not have a reprogramming capability the only option is to do it externally through software. In this case, since the member is using Logic Pro 8, I would recommend that he use his DAW's capability to remap. But should there be other options that are tried and true, I'm all ears.
Best regards,

Best regards,

Well I was in fact jamming on my DTXplorer kit through my MBP about 30 minutes ago with MidiPipe, EzDrummer and GarageBand.
