I actually ordered the Kontakt2 crossgrade for $269 that includes a tutorial DVD, but I didn't know if that would be good enough.
I've got an EP that must be completed by August 15th (which is about 2/3 done) and will require the use of Kontakt2. So, it's important that I learn the basics of Kontackt 2 as quickly as possible. |
As far as I know, the tutorial DVD is the only thing there is. I hear its supposed to be good. I learned it by using it (just like I learned everything else). Don't rely on NI's manuals - I think they're written by a fourteen year old... they really suck. But I think their tutorial DVD is presented by a real power user and you should get some good insights into its capabilities. I didn't find it hard to pick up without the DVD mind you, and its one of the main reasons I chose it over GigaStudio. The GUI is nice, and thoughtfully laid out.
