hey everyone well, first off, im new to the forums...ive been playing guitar for around 8 years and i got a us-122L interface for Christmas-thanks santa ![]() the interface came with cubase le4, and i really like it alot... ...however, i do not have a drum kit, but i do have a keyboard that is capable of plugging into my interface... but my questions are as follows: can i download any free drum loops and/or samples and proceed to "put them into" a project on cubase le4? if so, where can i find some loops and samples of drums for free to download? furthermore, how do i place these downloaded loops and samples into a project using cubase le4? keep in mind im a bit of a noob when it comes to cubase le4 yet, so, if possible, please keep your explanations/responses/answers simple thanks alot guys, i really appreciate it!!! |

hey, my name is derick. I've been playing music for the better part of my life. Ive been making beats for about 12 years now , so ive had went thru alot of hardware to this date. I started out with a cheap casio keyboard, then went to buy a low end sampler that I could not figure out. Now i'm learning how to record with musical software. i purchased a Fantom x6 and a brand new computer. i've been running fruity loops and reasons, and now i'm trying to step up to cubase. My main thing is r&b, rap & godspel. I'm basically a marching nut. I've taught high school drumlines for a better part of 20 yrs, Marched drum corps jr. & sr. I'm curently with the Freelancers Alumni line. I'm just switching everything over to the computer. So i'm selling my sampler, my groove box & my portable 24-track recorder. So if you got any hints on this cubase thing please hit me up and let me know. Much love to you and all you create. |

Hi Derick, I'm also new to the world of digital recording. I'm using Cubase LE 4. It came with my Prosonus Firestudio project interface. I can't tell you how much I love it. I recorded 2 albums with my Yamaha AG 16 mixer that has a built-in CD burner which was great to burn your recording. You just can't compare it to Cubase. With Cubase you can do so many things. But.... depending on how much time you have, it took me a year to learn it. And I still have problems sometimes. Whatever you do, I hope you'll enjoy your music.
