Default Graph Tech MIDI Interface for Guitar

Any guitarists here using a Graph Tech midi interface with Roland GR series guitar synths? I understand they track exceptionally well and wonder how Graph Tech interfaces work for recording midi guitar tracks with a sequencer.

Thanks everyone,
rick

I was thinking about putting one on my yamaha guitar, it had a GK2 pickup on it.

But the costs added up then you have a mish mash guitar. I bought a Godin XTSA and have never regretted it. You still need a guitar to midi controller. I use an AX-50.

Sure they track better but tracking is also part of the controller, used to have a GR-33 and it could track pretty good but you couldn't use other sound modules because of the way it did pitch bending, you could only use the GR-33 and you get tired of the sounds.

Thanks Tacman7,

I've heard good things about Godin guitars. I'm not so much interested in playing synth, piano, specialty sounds. What I really want is to be able to strum a guitar and have a MIDI sequencer play it back through a MIDI module without ghost notes and wierd MIDI events. Have you used your Godin to lay down a MIDI rythm guitar track?

I can strum the guitar, quite a bit better than it was with the Roland setup...

But it's not going to be like playing an acoustic.

But with good enough technique it can be done, especially if your recording because you can remove glitches later.

You would need to spend a lot of time getting things dialed in and setup right but that's the tools you need if your going to do it. (Godin + Axon)

It also has the piezo saddle pickups that can sound like an acoustic guitar (sort of) without midi.

I really like the way it plays, changed my playing.

I don't use it for guitar, if I want the sound of guitar I play regular guitar.

When I first got it I was trying to though:
