Default Gigastudio

If you're in the market for a sampler, watch out for Giga... Tascam have discontinued it which means support for it will be very shortlived.

That's funny to me. I haven't been able to get it successfully installed. Maybe I should stop trying if that's the case.

That was certainly part of their problem... the specs were so strict (I'm guessing because it works at the kernel level) and lots of people had problems getting it to work. For those who did get it to work, it was great.

One of my good friends has JUST released his second, very unique sample library using the Giga format... he's been truly screwed over by them in my opinion. He's very diplomatic about it, but you know, he's put his whole life into the last library for the last year. I hope he manages to get his libraries ported over to Kontakt.
