Interesting you should ask, ive wondered this myself, if all else fails, create singe samples of the drum sounds and just use the wav files in FL... thats what i would do... I started out as a tracker so this is hardly an effort for me but good luck let me know what you find out... Justin Thyme |

Well I input all the directory's that fruity loops should look in. It says that all the waves are there. I can click the tab and it shows tones of wav files. Problem is no sound. I dont know if it doesn't recognize them or what, but I get nothing. Any help?

You'll need to figure out if EZ Drummer has standalone mode. I do everything in Cubase so I've never needed standalone mode on any of these sample packages like EZ Drummer. I would expect there to be some kind of way to open EZ drummer in standalone mode and then export that audio to a wav file which you could open in Fruity Loops. Brandon |

Something I tried yesterday was just taking and importing the midi files and using FPC for the drumms, don't sound nearly as good but, if you just like the midi patterns that could help. Well Good luck

Hi I do have some similar problem... I explain : I've got FL Studio and EZ Drummer installed, and I imported some Drum MIDI files wich I played on EZ Drummer (and it sounds good) BUT, I just can't find out how to record and export it as Mp3 using FL Studio and EZ Drummer combinned!!! I'm sorry if it seams sily but, could anyone help??!! the thing is I was used to tab drums on GP5 (I just feel confortable about it) so I decided to use those drum MIDI files te record my songs (Metal, for the fans) |

Well, I just picked up FL Studio 8 and EZDrummer, so I'm really still learning the basics, but I think I have an answer for you. In FL, hit channels, then hit add one. There should be one labeled "ezdrummer". Click on that to bring up the EZDrummer interface, and pick your groove that you're going to use. Once you've found that, simply drag and drop the groove from the EZDrummer interface to the step sequencer in FL. You can then add the pattern to your playlist, and from there, it can be rendered as .wav, .mp3, or any other format supported in FL. I hope that helps a little, it took me forever just to figure that out, lol.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that once the pattern is in the playlist, you can double click on it to bring up the piano roll and edit the pattern as you see fit, changing sounds to different drums, and also changing the velocities.

There is a program called drumagog that builds up a midi drum sequence by listening to an audio file. I think that's how it works. It's used to replace existing drum tracks in a studio. It has really good sounding drums recorded in it like EZ etc. It can also be used as a sound module.

Yeah, i have the same problem, i can open EZdrummer and everything, but if i want to make a song using the grooves, i can only have 1 MIDI groove in the piano roll at a time! So i can't put any fills or nothing in there, only 1, and then it replaces what was there.
