Hi - newbie user here! I think I'm doing OK so far - only a few chunks of hair ripped out in dispair.
I'm using cubse SE and my question is as follows: I have a VSTi rhodes parts which I open up in the midi editor. I can't work out how to make the recording fade in and out. It seems easy on an audio track - I just open the editor and process the audio. Any help would be much apprciated. Thanks - Jus |

I'm curious what you are going to use this for. I'm certainly not a MIDI expert, but couldn't you achieve the same things with volume automation?

Sure you could if you wanted to. In this instance it probably doesn't matter, but if you have, well, lets say 8 parts in a Kontakt instance and they come into Cubase as a single stereo output. In order to mix the parts individually, you'd need to use MIDI controllers.
MIDI controllers have many more functions than volume. If you're not using them, you're seriously missing out. |
