Default EZdRUMMER to DFH

Hey Y'all,

I've created my drums in EDrummer but now want to use the same MIDI sequence to trigger DFH. Is there any way to do this without having to manually construct a new drum map. You would think that TOONTRACK would have a map for this. Do they.

Toontrack has a DFH library.

So your using it and it's got problems?

Just save your MIDI files in \Program Files\Toontrack\EZDrummer\Midi\MY MIDIFILES. They should then be accessible to any EZD expansion pack.

You should be able to leave the midi tracks and just change your plug in from ezdrummer to dfh superior.

No, both programs work splendidly. It's just that Toontrack EzDrummer maps the midi sequence differently than Toontrack DFH. I thought perhaps, the maps would be somewhat similar considering that they're both made by the same company. However, they're completely different. Meaning, what is a kick drum in the EZD map, is a cymbal crash in the the DFH map and so on. I spent some time working on it yesterday to a certain amount of frustration. Somebody has to have a map for me. I think DFH 2 has an EZDrummer type thing built into it. Maybe I'll just have to buy that instead. Geez, I love spending money!!

The expansion packs work fine. It's opening a sequence created by EZD with DFH that is the problem. Kicks turn into bongos, snares turn into Cuicas when I trigger DFH with the sequence created by EZD.

I can honestly say that I've not experienced this unless I open a groove in an expansion pack that does not contain the same drums/cymbals as the one in which it was created. For example, DFH EZX has more drums and cymbals than the basic EZD. Therefore playing a groove created in one will not necessarily work the same in another.

I think what folks are missing here is that the original poster is not using the dfh expansion pack that ezdrummer has. He is trying to cross between ezdrummer and the much more powerful DFH Superior.

OOOOHHHHHHHHH! I see. I have ALL the expansion packs except the "Nashville". I use patterns from all of them when writing. You're saying that if I were to use the DFH expansion pack exclusively, that I wouldn't have this problem?
