maybe render it down to midi instead of individual .wav files?
I didn't know you could render MIDI files.

Sorry. moment of temporary insanity, please excuse my brainless response. Supposed to be "instead of exporting as a Midi, make sure they're exported as individual wav files".

I am just trying to offer the plain man's advice. This is proabably so obvious that sometimes when advanced people get caught up in the advanced stuff, stupid people can offer a simple solution that was taken for granted.

are you wanting to have a separate MIDI track for each drum mic, or a separate audio track mixdown of each drum mic?

I use EZD, and I only use 1 MIDI track for sequencing the whole kit. I set up the EZD mixer for multi-channel output (not stereo), and my DAW (cubase) makes 9 vst instrument tracks corresponding to each drum mic. There are several ways to render just one particular drum mic to audio: you can solo it in the EZD mixer and then export; you can solo the individual vst track in your DAW and then export; if you have 1 MIDI track for each drum mic, you can solo the MIDI track in your DAW and then export.
