Default Electric Guitar Plugin

I currently use AmpliTube but I'm not getting quite the tone that I'm looking for. Maybe I should keep tweaking it? I want a pop-punk tone.

What other AU plugins are there for electric guitar?

Honestly, I should probably be trying to record with my real amp (Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier), but I record in my room and it probably wouldn't sound that good.

Try putting a compressor before the sim in the inserts. I like uad LA-3 for guitar.

Give it a shot. It may be good and you will learn a lot.

I will give it a try. I only have one dynamic mic though (sm-57).

Definitely try recording that amp. My band just got done recording our ep and we used the same thing and it sounds great! We recorded it in a nice room but im sure recording it in your room with sound better than the models on amplitube.

I'll give it a try, but I honestly don't know anything about recording electric guitar. I have zero knowledge.

I'm pretty new to all this too but I would try it and tweak away. Read anything you can on this subject, that's one thing that has helped me with my recordings greatly. One tip I can give you is if you are setting your head on a high gain level, Turn it down a little because when you raise the level of guitars maybe in a master track it will add more distortion.

Any good dynamic without an internal windscreen. You can usually tell these by the ball mesh heads. You can take these apart if you're feeling all MacGyver. I like the Audix i5 and MD-421. YMMV.
