Default Drum Programming Software for Recording

Hello There,

I was wondering if there is a Drum Software that could create drum tracks like from guitar pro? But with realistic sounds that I could also Drag and Drop? Like I could program the time signature and add double bass tracks and different tom hits by just doing a drag and drop to a measure? because I have songs that has time signature changes and tempo changes and I dont know if there is a drum software that could do that ala' guitar pro. Is there a program like this? Kinda like I would lay in a 4/4 Time Signature, put in sixteenth note beats then shift on a 7/8 then back to 3/4? I really am looking for a software for this. I was planning on exporting my tracks from guitar pro but the drums doesnt sound authentic.

Any suggestions would be apprecieated.

Thank You very much

Sonar or Cubase or Logic or pretty much any other midi sequencer enabled for vsti instruments, then addictive drums, bfd, ezdrummer, linplug rmvi, battery, kontakt or any other drum sampler.

You will need to follow some tutorials depending on which combination you use. I personally recommend Sonar + Addictive Drums

You need to keep in mind that the convenience of "drag and drop" may be lost with the freedom to do all the stuff you want to do. In other words, switching to manual mode (by doing full blown MIDI programming in Cubase, for example) is totally possible, but drag and drop and features like that may not work as well.

There comes a point where we all outgrow our "presets".

For this level of drum programming, I would recommend Cubase triggering Superior 2.0, BDF 2, Steven Slate drums, or equivalent.
