Default DFHS Midi Sequencing

I am just now learning about DFHS and all of the others. It is a lot to take in and comprehend at once. There have been a couple of issues that I have not been able to find clear answers to. I hope to find some help here!

Is it possible to sequence a drum track in Sibelius or Finale as midi for DFHS to use? If not, what programs could you use to sequence a drum track to be recorded later?

I have done a little reading on DFHS compatibility with Cubase, ProTools, etc... So would I be able to use the midi sequencer to control DFHS which would then be recorded into something like Cubase for production?

This is exactly what I do.

I use Cubase SX3 and DFH Superior. I can program drums with a mouse (which is what I generally do), use my midi controller keyboard, or an electronc drum kit (on my wish list).

When I open Cubase, I select DFH like I would any other VSTi.

So within Cubase SX3 you can use a mouse to sequence/trigger certain events on your VST?

I am interested in doing some death metal/techincal sequencing, would I be able to program the drums in Cubase at a slower tempo and then speed up to time? (without changing pitch and timbre of the drums?)

Yup. That's exactly what a software sequencer does.

Yes. Since Cubase is triggering samples, the pitch of the snare has nothing to do with the tempo of the song. By changing the tempo, you are not changing audio files. You are changing how often a sample is triggered in a given amount of time.

I also program a lot of bass as well.

With sequenced drums and bass, you can change the tempo from something mega slow to something mega, mega fast just by changing a little number. It'll sound great.

DFH Superior is damn good for this.
