I thought there was a "clean audio pool" function of some sort. I know that when I archive mixes, there is an option to clean the audio pool first also.

Unfortunately, I don't do this very often and I can't remember the exact names.

I also started with VST 5.1 and jumped to Cubase SX3. I was AMAZED at just how much easier, more powerful, and more intuitive Cubase had become. In fact, I quit using VST 5.1 because I didn't like it. I can't imagine ever switching from Cubase SX3.

Try doing a search in the manual. It's handy having a shortcut to the manual in the top bar of Cubase SX3.

Open the pool, right click a folder and choose "remove unused media".

Thank you. This worked great, and I was just able to free up 3 gigs of space by using this feature.

For the future, so I don't have to go through every individual project and delete the unused media 1 by 1, is there a way to make cubase do this automatically?

Thanks!

It's a VERY bad idea to have the computer automatically DELETE files from your drive.

I don't delete files ever until there is a backup. Even after I rarely have to delete something.

If you're filling up your drive too fast, get another drive rather than delete something.
