Hello Ive been trying record some drum tracks with Roland TD6 and cubase, and it works... for some time. Everything works great when i just play, i get the midi signal to cubase, and i can change the samples from addictive drums and hear them correctly from the speakers, but when i record for i while, cubase just wont record anymore. Ive got Windows Xp sp3 Intel core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz, 3 gigs ram, Presonus Firebox Audio interface, and M-Audio 49 keyrig. Ive tryed to record, that i have only Mouse And Firebox on the computer, and no difference. And Hello, i joined here yesterday. |

Yes I would try and isolate the problem by just using a basic setup, no vsti, or anything, just get the basic functionality of cubase working. You've downloaded and installed the latest ASIO driver from Presonus? Then selected that driver in device setup inside cubase? Can you describe the problem more? How does it stop recording? Have you tried starting with an empty template and recording an audio track?

Cubase works fine with midikeyboard, and audio recording. I got the newest drivers for Firebox (ver. 2.46.) THE problem is with the drums. Can you describe the problem more? How does it stop recording? When i record midi with drums or keyboard there comes these lines that what you have played, you surely know (dont know the English word) It looks for example like this: ---=---__--_-== unterstand? So those things stop coming in to the track at somepoint randomly, one time i recorded like 7 minutes and stopped, everything fine. I take couple more takes. And at some point when i have stopped playing and go to watch/hear the result, i found that there is not those lines after a minute for example. And sometimes it just dont record anything, and some times there is just the first hit, in the beginning. |

Do you have local control "off" on your midi input source? Not getting midi feedback... I know there was a problem with recording midi late that you needed to find in the midi configuration a checkbox called Use System Timestamp and check it. Might try it. So this is a midi problem. Addictive drums works fine if you just import a midi drum track or just the files that it contains? If so then it's just a midi problem... You have more than one midi input? Try a different one? You might check through everything on the midi configuration in device setup. I can't think of anything else midi is usually pretty dependable.

[QUOTE=tacman7;86426]Do you have local control "off" on your midi input source? Not getting midi feedback... I know there was a problem with recording midi late that you needed to find in the midi configuration a checkbox called Use System Timestamp and check it. Might try it. I Think the problem is solved with that timestamp thing. I need to do series of test recordings and find out what that timestamp actually does, but it is looking good. I hope that i owe you a big thanks soon. |
