Your best bet for recording guitar in my opinion is to use wave. You can get a guitar MIDI converter/adapter or get a MIDI compatible effects pedal, but I've never been able to get MIDI'ed guitar to sound realistic.

If you've got money... Carvin Guitars and Pro Audio
The guy using it in the video looks like a bit of a tool, but its cool. For less money, there's this - Roland GI-20 GK-MIDI Interface :: Overview The best way will always be to capture the sound from your guitar. Playing the guitar is an analog process... MIDI is digital. |

I need to make sure I understand your needs. Are you saying that you want to use a guitar to trigger MIDI synths/samples? Or are you looking to record the natural sound of the guitar?

You can buy MIDI pickups and install them on any guitar. Just to be clear though... you will not get nay of the sound form your guitar during this process... it is just going to trigger whatever sound is loaded into the NNXT.

With Classical guitar, you would have to installed RMC piezos into the bridge.
The "midi" pickup, i.e the roland gk3, works only on metal strings. for more info check out: GuitarHelper.net/Midi,13 pin interfaces |
