Well, I don't know if you bot it from a retail store. Just exchange it for one that works !!

You may be dealing with online retail. They may help you, or you may have to deal with Yamaha.

Many many mail-order vendors will send you a prepaid label to ship your drums back.

I'm having the same problems ... Cubase sees the midi signal but only plays back a signal from the drum pads sometimes.

I know it's just a little setting somewhere -- I hope someone has figured it out.

I was thinking that it might be that by USB midiman sport being hooked up to a USB 1.0 port might be the problem, but swapped out the YDD to a USB 2.0 port using a different interface (Lexicon Lambda) and still having the same results ...

Thanks,
Jay

You say you keep hitting the pads. The same pad?

The note-on is what I call the trigger. Every pad will have a different trigger note to trigger a diferent drum sound.

I don't KNOW ANY of these programs, devices, but is the midi-channel on the device which should PLAY the sound set to the SAME midi-channel (no matter what midi-channel) as the software? On some VST drumm machines you can even change the midi-channnel drum by drum. It's easiest to use the insdustry standard, thogh : all VST drums triggered on channel 10.

In some VST drum machines (I use Linplug's RMV and it applies there) the out channel is automatically set on 10 and unless the receive device is set to midi channel 10, NO SOUND.

Those are thoughts for you to play with. Sorry I can't do more.
