Default yamaha ydd 60 and drum map

hi,
i'm new to the forum.
i have a problem trying to play my yamaha ydd 60 in cubase using a vst drum sampler.
i've read several threads in the forum trying to find the solutioin, but nothing worked.
the software receive the midi signal, i remapped the drum map, but i can hear the sound just sometimes. i mean that hitting the pad it doesn't give out the sound everytime i hit it, but just sometimes.
i thought it was matter of velocity, but i didn't find out how to handle it, and what to set to avoid that issue.
could u please help me with that?

i've checked the midi log in fxpansion bfd.
the first hit has midi note on, it send the right note (d1 in my case) and it has a random velocity.
the messages after the first ones have a midi note off a different key note and 0 velocity.
after a while the note on with the right key note and velocity come back.
i wonder if it's something related to the midi settings of there's something wrong with my drum pad.

You should try to find a old or simple MIDI application that will allow you to test the device. Then you will know if it's the device or the cubase. First things first : )

You are not testing it with another application. I suggest you test it with another application.

This is along the lines;
oh, the DVD does not play
is it the DVD or the player
The DVD plays in my friends player
so, it is my player at fault (for whatever reason)

So, the second ON is device echo setting ?? Where does the second on come from ?
