for some reason when i record drums, with my tascam us144 on cubase, i can't get the program to distinguish stereo from mono? i'm not sure how to achieve this

i have my high hat pan set to like 6 left and it comes up as centered in my headphones later on, the headphones are stereo so i'm not sure whats up, any suggestions?

Make sure you're setting up your recording tracks in Cubase to "Mono" tracks and pan them left and right consecutively.
