Default Program to convert tab or notes to MIDI

I'm the guitarist and basically engineer for my band. We have a drummer but right now are not in a position to record actual drums so we're using MIDI but I still want him to be writing the drum parts. He can write both tab and notes though tab is obviously easier to write and I need a program that can convert what he writes to MIDI.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

maybe try this TabTrax tab converter player. Drum music editor. Percussion teaching and notation writing software.

Doesn't Guitar Pro do something like that?

Yar Guitar pro does that. What i do sometimes for a laugh is download some tabs take out the midi drums in them and stick the midi file into ezdrummer. Then i just play the original songs over them and try and change them around and come up with different solo's for them. I done the same thing with my bro's band where they were doing a cover version of The Trooper by Iron Maiden. We didn't have any mics to record the drums or a really big interface for them so waht we done was just got the drum midi file, changed some of the kick beats(triplets and stuff),changed the rolls and the cymbals and then i added samples for the kick and toms and stuff. Really easy work, but kinda cheating though...even though my bro could play the stuff we programmed anyway so it wasn't that much of a cheat...right?
