mate they're left handed guys on right handed kits, do some research.

I've been playing drums for 25 years, and i do this myself, i'm a left handed drummer playing on right handed kits.

The reason this is becoming popular is because of youtube, everybody sees that way of playing these days.

in the 80's guys played this way all the time, Billy Cobham, Simon Phillips etc..

check out Bobby Jarzombek YouTube - Bobby Jarzombek

And the reason for this is because most kits in shops or on stage are set-up for right handed players, so instead of the left hander having to change it all around for a jam or bash, they just played it ambi style.

So what's wrong with getting into the flavor-of-the-month?

i assure you, theyre right handed drummers
ive done my research, i know what this is
i just find it hard to adapt, although it seems worth it in the end
if it were a left handed drummer, why would the articles call it 'ambidextrous'
its an attempt at allowing both hands to be dominant within a drumset
and to 'open up' your arms so you dont feel locked in or tangled in playing

i did read about left handed drummers doing that, but essentially it ruins the point of the versatility im attempting to get
sides, im right handed, so i need something that i can work with ;D

Dude, ignore the nay-sayers. Write in a month or so and let us know if you are digging it or not. I'd really like to see if it suits you.
