My band is just starting to record ourselves, and I haven't the slightest idea of how to record the drums. I have a set of eight drum mics, and we are just recording a standard set, where should I place the overheads? How do I get a balanced sound? I basically know nothing, and am not a drummer myself, but I would really appriciate any suggestions. Joe. |

First I suggest looking at this. Its a great overview for the whole process, even if you don't use presonus recording gear. Questions: Do you have the recording beyond mics? Recording Soundcard? Digital Audio Audio Workstation? What kind of mics do you have? |
