Hello drummers and other keepers of the beat,
I'm new to recordingreview and to home recording in general, so in getting started, the most difficult thing and most important thing I have to deal with is drum tracks. I'm a guitarist/singer, not in a band and don't "have" a drummer at the moment, so how should I track drums? The Korg D3200 unit that I just bought has a built in drum machine, but while I'll probably try it out, I don't expect to be satisfied with it. I don't much like programmed drums, and don't particularly want to spend time learning to do it. In researching this, I found Drums on Demand, which sounds promising, but I have no idea how I'd use it. I'd love to hear ideas about how to deal with this? Should I try to find a drummer and bass player, record rhythm tracks live and then overdub over them? OK, enough for now. Thanks. David |
