Default Drums without a drummer?

Hello drummers and other keepers of the beat,

I'm new to recordingreview and to home recording in general, so in getting started, the most difficult thing and most important thing I have to deal with is drum tracks. I'm a guitarist/singer, not in a band and don't "have" a drummer at the moment, so how should I track drums? The Korg D3200 unit that I just bought has a built in drum machine, but while I'll probably try it out, I don't expect to be satisfied with it. I don't much like programmed drums, and don't particularly want to spend time learning to do it. In researching this, I found Drums on Demand, which sounds promising, but I have no idea how I'd use it. I'd love to hear ideas about how to deal with this?

Should I try to find a drummer and bass player, record rhythm tracks live and then overdub over them?

OK, enough for now.

Thanks.

David

I did this with my zoom 123

it's called "Monkey Seed"

get it here

it in reality takes less time and patience than dealing with most drummers and their ol' lady's and their kids and their dogs ect..
