Default A Drum Machine Question

Hello everyone,

I currently use drum loops in my recordings. These are quite a pain to deal with. I'd like to use a drum machine, but it would have to be one with built in 'songs'.....intro, verse, chorus, bridge, that sort of thing.

Any suggestions on a good quality machine?

I use Sonar 7 PE. Yes, I know there's a built in drum machine, but I simply cannot - to save my life - figure out how to use it!

Thank you for taking the time.

WS

i have a boss dr-880.you can program on the computer and have that play any of the kits on it with usb..it sounds better than what i could get with samples.it has auto groove and fills.i found the best way is slow it down and tap the parts and then speed it up and aplly a groove.the tts drum machine on sonar is good just get a keyboard and play it.you have to select ch 10 and then you will hear it.(veiw-dxi softsynths-press ch10 otherwise you get piano

ezDrummer is a great sounding VSTi drum plugin that comes with a decent sized library of midi beats from a variety of styles. It's way easy to just pick a beat pattern from the ezDrummer library, drag it into your DAW and then copy/paste/modify the pattern to your heart's content. You can check it out here: ToontrackŪ
