Hey dudes,
In an effort to improve this stupid site, I'm going to be trying things to keep things more organized. If your thread is more an of Audio Engineering thread than a drummer thread, please post in the Audio Engineering forum. I've let my guard down and you drummer types have gone crazy with discussion of room mics, multi-micing tricks, and mic placement in general on the drum forum. There is nothing really wrong with this (I encourage the discussion! ), but my goal is to strengthen the Audio Engineering section with discussion of all kinds of audio engineering topics ranging from "What's the best drum mic package?", "Should I use room mics?", to guitar recording, bass recording, etc.The instrument threads (guitar, bass, drums, and misc) were really intended for non-recording discussion. I think we all benefit if we have one kick ass, robo active Audio Engineering category where we can discuss tactics and gear to improve our audio engineering abilities. Brandon
