Default Lindy Fralin Telecaster 'Blues Special' Pickups Set

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

Like new in original box. Hand-wound, boutique pickups.

They are both 5% overwound...neck is brighter and louder than stock tele neck pickups...bridge is a little hotter and darker than stock tele.

All of the classic tele twang, with a little extra bite...The bridge pickup is the same one that Brad Paisley uses in all of his teles, that should tell you enough about the quality and sound.

The Lindie pickups are supposed to be unreal. Why are you selling yours?

I'm looking for a set of 'Velvet Hammer' pickups (at least a bridge pickup).

The downside is that they are just as expensive as a real PAF gibson and far more rare...but I'm looking.

About the Fralins, they are great pickups. Tight, focused tele sound with just a little more grit to them to drive a tube amp even harder. They're a shade darker as well (due to the extra windings), which takes out that ice-picky sound that every cheap telecaster pickup has.

My problem is that I just can't leave my telecaster alone..thats the ONLY reason I'm selling them. It's the one thing I let myself tweak around on and change shit on.

I ended the auction....

The more I thought about it, the more I realized how much I like the Fralins...They've been in my tele for quite a while now.

Maybe I'll list the 52RI pickups I have tucked away...maybe I'll hang on to them for a future project tele...who knows.

I Own one. Its in my American Telecaster. Its a Single, Its a Neck Pickup. My telecaster is all in peices and has been like this for 20 years, It was my dads he gave it to me about 3 years ago. After he took it apart, he didnt bother putting it back together and he eventually quit playing and it sat for 20 years. Ive been meaning to fix it but I dunno, its still just been sitting since he gave it to me. I also have 3 DiMarzio Distortion Humbuckers (1 was in the American along with the VH) that are like 25+ Years old. Ive been trying to find information about this Pickup, if you wanna see it ive posted pictures on another forum:

--------- Need info on "Red Rhodes Velvet Hammer 54' Pickup" - Telecaster Guitar Forum ---------

Hi,
here's a picture of a Velvet Hammer 54. B.C. I bought some time ago here in Germany. Neither me nor the guy selling knew, that this is a rare pickup, I just bought it thinking the guy on the paper looks a little like James Burton....
You can find two more pictures at the tdpri.com forum.

Best regards
Till A
