Who's your favorite guitarist?

Santiago Dobbles. Plays in a band called 'Aghora'.
Dude's phenomenal, and the only guitarist i've heard that had a song i wanted to play, but just physically couldn't.
I don't like shredders, generally speaking, but there's something very modest, very sincere about his playing.

Well I must be getting old...all of my faves are DEAD!?! Vaughn, Chet Atkins, Waylon Jennings, and a very interesting and unusual guy named Danny Gatton (took his own life a few years ago). The trade mags said, ..... "well, we figure he just got tired of playing guitar....". And then there was Bobby Fuller....murdered. So, in conclusion I'll have to say that I'm my favorite guitar player.....least I ain't dead yet (I hope).

I could have listed many of the above artist, but my current favorite guitarist is Eddie Hazel of The Parliaments/Funkadelic/The Temptations/Parliament. DO NOT get him confused with later guitarist for Parliament, P-Funk or any other George Clinton band. He creates the perfect parts for songs. Built influenced countless musicians, and most people don't even know who he is, because he never developed the ego.

For me it is a tie between Andres Segovia and Joe Pass. Different musical genres, world class talents and skills.
