Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Jeff Beck, Robin Trower, Duane Allman, Angus Young, Shawn Lane,Randy Rhodes, Pete Townsand,Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Nick Drake Robert Johnson Jimi Hendrix Jonh Petrucci (dream theater) John Frusciante (rhcp) Curt Cobain (nirvana) Ace Frehley (kiss) Josh hommes (kyuss)+qotsa Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) Adam Jones (Tool) each one of these guys inspired me with at least one good song cheers

david effing gilmour. he can weave his guitar in to compliment a song as good as anyone, and can also step up and deliver the most intense, heartfelt solos imaginable. also great at creating atmosphere. those things make him #1 for me.

A highly subjective subject!First of all you need to seperate styles,impact and sustainability in history.How can you compare some one like Django Reinhardt to Jimi Hendrix to Richard Thompson to Stevie Ray Vaughn to Jeff Beck to Al Dimeola to Robert Johnson to Jimmy Page and so on and and so on and so on!!!!!! so let's keep this forum to your FAVOURITE guitarist,something that is a personal thing and lets not get into pedantic bullshit.My FAVOURITE guitarist would be Stevie Ray Vaughn,because when I hear him I still get blown away.
