Hello everyone.
I own a pair of active samson Rubicon R5A Studio monitors, and they sound ok. recently i've been having a small problem everytime i turn the monitors ON i hear a few Popping noizes with a low pitch tone, its lasts for very short time (half a second aprox.) its very loud and i can even feel the wind that cames out of the monitors. Sometimes this reapeats for a few times and the monitors only work after it stops, after they start working it doesent happen again unless i turn them off for a few hours and then back on. I think this problem is somehow related to some eletrical issue because if i unplug the monitor from power this ussually does not happen. Can someone help, have anyone experienced this problem before? I can return the monitor to fixed because its in guarantee, but what if this happens again? |

I do know that some amps pop when you turn them on. It's part of their design. Some curcuits use a slow turn on design to ease into turning the amplifier on to avoid these types of pops. It's possible that your studio monitors are fine, but I would ask around with other owners of the same studio monitors to see if they are having the same problem. Have your studio monitors always done this? If you think you really have a problem, go ahead and contact the manufacturer and discuss your options. Brandon

No, I have them for about 6 months and this problem only started to happen now.
Some times it takes a minute or two for them to start working. By unpluging the from the power chord after i turn them off in the normal button (in the back of monitors) after im done usung them sometimes resolves the problem. I have a friend that lives nearby that has the same problem with the same monitors, he has to leave his monitors turned ON for about 2 hours before they start working. |
