Most of these courses are vague. With the money you would spend at one of these schools you could build a bad ass studio and learn everything online for free. After a year if you still want to work in the industry I guarantee you'll be miles ahead of anyone who went to school. If you change your mind and you decide that you don't want to fight tooth and nail for a sound engineer job you can start your own buisness with your sweet gear or sell it and get most of your money back. I wish I had done that.

go to a community college first ours has an actual recording class university down the street teaches theory most public type schools wont have much in the way of recording you will need a trade school to get that if you want a degree save money by going cc first then finish at a 4 year school if you just want to work go to cc cheap and learn basics then take the sae courses you can google RIt but i suspect it is another commercial school without any real accreditation and may or may not be any good so check reviews and bbb etc before deciding |

Don't let anyone's bitterness (mine) deter you from going to school. I'm sure you will do fine. I'm actually returning to LA to give it a second try in September.
