Question for Freelance sound techs
I'm just starting to do more freelance work where bands hire me to just show up and run sound. I'm used to going through a sound company where we rent out the sound system and everything. I was just wondering what others are charging for their freelance work. Travel expences and all aside.

Its determined by the market. Find out what people in your area charge. What engineers get here is probably a pittance compared to most places, but since we have a comparatively low cost of living, that's the way it works.
