Default Pressure's On - Sauce Kid Coming to Town

Sauce Kid, a popular rapper from Africa will be coming to the studio for three days in mid July to record his new CD.

He's bringing a guitar player from the U.K.

That's what I asked. Apparently because I'm 2 hours from the hip hop capitol of the world... Atlanta.

I'm just seeing all kinds of funny things here.

1) A guy from Africa wearing a St. Louis Cardinals hat.
2) A guy from Africa posing as an American hip-hop artist.
3) The assumption that 'by now (I've) heard' his song.
4) "Hits stores earlier 2007" - Grammar is not the strong point of the person who wrote this. Maybe they're from Africa as well?
5) "and went platinum" - No it didn't. Nobody goes platinum anymore; not even Nickelback or Jay-Z or whoever the radio is playing nowadays.
6) "Available 2008" - Wait, what? I thought it went platinum in 2007? I'm confused.

He wears NY and LA, too! Don't forget them. There is a movement in west Africa for hip hop artists to make it big in the U.S. Sort of what Akon did (he's from Senegal).

Actually, he had to postpone; couldn't get his guitar player over here. He did give me a payment though.

But I'm not holding my breath. I'm not ready to delve deep into this genre. I don't have anything against it, but the artists who have recorded in my studio also want(ed) me to manage them. I know nothing about managing a hip hop group nor have the contacts in Atlanta to do anything with it.

Hip hop artists have guitarists? That's even funnier!

I don't blame you. I wouldn't want to bark up that tree either.

That's what I thought too! But hey, maybe he's being innovative

(which would be a breath of fresh air for any genre!)
