| This is AMAZING. Think about it. Government/Political Transparency. This could lead to a transparent government that can no longer hide the criminals and their activities within. corporations lose their stranglehold censorship of the media, etc. http://www.masternewmedia.org/p2p/vi...e_20050719.htm The article that led me to the above one is here: MTV Gets A Good Challenge: Robin's Grassroots Music Video Station To Launch Next http://www.masternewmedia.org/music_...h_20051124.htm After reading it, check out the stories in the left column, which is where I found that first one. P2P YAY cheers

Seems like a good idea. What better way is there to get info out than distribute it free for downloading? -Tyler

P2P is the best thing there is for recording artists, it instantly puts their work all over the globe and they are not at the mercy of these record company scoundrels and their self serving, very limited marketing and distribution systems. Here is what I mean. Back in the Napster days I used to do generic searches and I found extraordinary music and artists from all over the world. There is no way that I would have ever heard of any of these artists and their music without P2P. Just as an Example, I discovered TUVA, throat singing from the mountains of central Asia and this led to discovering Paul Pena in San Francisco: http://www.genghisblues.com/ AND the Tuva throat singer ALBERT KUVEZIN and his Punk Group Yat-Kah from the mountains of central Asia. http://www.yat-kha.com/ He has an AWESOME throat singing version of 'When the Levee Breaks' patterned after the Led Zep version. I went on to post about these people and groups before they were well known andthereby I helped to promote them, as I just did here. Without P2P they would be virtually unknown. One day I found some very small acoustic slide blues clips in .wav format while doing P2P searches. They were just a couple of measures each but were very very cool. That led me on an internet search, using the file names to find out where these short loops came from. My investigations finally revealed that they were recorded by a Blues/slide guitarist named Paul Black who recorded a whole Blues loops CD for Sony and ACID music software. Over 600 blues loops!!! I could not save upmoney fast enough to buy THAT CD. It was $30.00 from Sony. I also downloaded Sony Acid Express to arrange the loops and use them for study material. This is one of the best investmnents I have made. I have not only promoted Paul Black but I am so impressed with his work and it is so valuablew to me personally that I fully intend to send some money directly to Paul Black as a tip! His work is more valuable to me than the cost of the CD from Sony, and he may have only made $2. from the sale of the Sony CD and he deserves more than that. I also bought another CD by paul Black and the Flip Kings, called 'King Dollar'- Without P2P I would never have even heard of Paul Black nor heard his guitar playing. I don't have much money available at all to buy CDs, HOWEVER if I do discover something good on P2P and I want to give someone a present, I would buy a CD. What kind of cheapscate would give someone a self burned CD for a Christmas present of birthday present for example? Not me. So, P2P is an awesome way to get music out and develope worldwide interest and a following- it is limitless, and where there is money, there will be SALES!. Where there is Not money to buy the CDS, that is FINE because P2P can only serve to promote in the artist and the music. It is Win-Win all the way around for the Artist. The probelm is big companies who believe that they OWN the rights to the music and ALL they care about is PROFIT through their greedy marketing and distribution systems. IN NO WAY is this the best thing for the Artists. Anyone who believes that mass deception by the Record Industry is pretty Stupid.

Throat singing is FUCKING SWEEEEEEET!!!!!! My seventh grade science teacher knew how to do it, and a had a bunch of recordings, and he'd play them and sing along. It was funny, but also quite awesome. -Tyler
