Another nice job dude. The bass is really punchin me in the gut on this one

For the key, I have the guitars tuned down to E-flat (to suit my voice, just barely), so it's in the key of C# I guess?

It's |C# - C# - |F# - F - | for the verses, and pretty much sticks to those chords, just moved around a little.

This is why I love writing punk rock songs

Thanks for the input. i changed a few more things and i think my latest mix is a bit better. ill take the bass down a bit, its hard to mix it properly when you have two computer speakers and a sub lol but its going pretty good.

so im up to my fourth mix. i actually posted it over in bash this recording.
...ill just find the link,,
HERE IT IS

i would upload it here but ive used my monthly bandwidth and my internet has been slowed down a lot.

thanks for listening and commenting

Ha ha, that's the exact same as my own "monitoring chain". I'll just head on over to the bash section now...

Well, I'm still working on it (I probably always will be...), but I think I was fairly happy with the version that's on my band's myspace (check my sig). I'm pretty sure that it's the last version that I posted in this thread if it's easier to listen from here.
That was quite a while ago though. Since then I've kinda started playing around with reverb plugins, but I haven't really mastered them yet. I've also gotten my speakers since then (with a sub) - at the time I was mixing purely on headphones, so I'm interested to see if my new system makes much of a difference. I haven't spent quite enough time working on them as of yet. Once I have though, I'll probably revisit any mixes I have done to see how they translate.
I'm sure if you take a quick look through any of my old posts, you'll figure out that I'm very slow at this recording business
I started recording my first song last may I think, and I've only got 3 even close to being finished and a 4th one that still needs some guitars recorded.
Then I gotta go back over them all to put on backing vocals and whatever other "polish" I feel the need to add...
Oh well, just gotta soldier on and try to make more time.
