Default Mixing Practice.

Hey everybody, got a bit of free time on my hands and could always use some mixing practice so was wondering if anyone has any raw files they can post for me to have a go at mixing - anything welcome! I can probably get a song of mine exported to wavs and uploaded somewhere if anyone wants to mess with it as well.

Just spotted this, sounds like a pretty cool idea - give me some time to get all my raw files together and I'll get back to you.
How do you feel about mixing some fairly basic punk rock?
I'm using EZdrummer for beats, but I reckon I can export each track as a wav without any effect, as well as my guitars, bass and vocals.
Just gotta decide now which song to give you

Go for it dude, if you export ez drummer to wavs remember to do the overheads track as a stereo not mono.

Ha, good catch, I probably would have forgotten that.
Would you like a stereo ambience/room track as well, or would you prefer to use your own reverb?
Or I could send you the midi file to drive your own drum software if you want - might be nice to hear what great sounds I could get if I had different software, although I guess the drum map would probably be totally different - we had that problem when I gave it to our drummer to run it through his version of BFD to try make it sound better...

I'll take the room track as well, more options and that. I only have ezdrummer for my drums anyway, I might be able to take the midi though to save time, what drum map and recording program do you use at the moment?

I'm using Cubase SX3. I downloaded a bunch of drum maps in one collective file (can't remember where I got it - possibly from the EZdrummer support forum), and the one I use is "EZD map default", I think... I'll check when I go home anyway.

Cool, just upload the midi file with your other instrument wavs then, stick the drum map you've used in the folder too and I should be able to get it to work.
