Lauren Gray - American Idol

Just wanted to give you guys and gals a heads up about a friend of mine. Lauren Gray will be competing on this season of American Idol. She has a tremendous voice for such a young age and should do well. They recently said she has "one of the best female voices they've heard" this year. Her father has a very popular (for Arkansas, it's all relative) rock/blues band and she's been singing with him forever. They are all great people to boot.

There's a certain absurdly negative vibe I get from the institution known as American Idol that I can't quite put my finger on that makes me wish the whole thing would just go away. It's not too far from maybe hoping a large rock lands on Washington DC and kills all the politicians.....until your buddy gets elected. Then the matter ges complicated.
