Default Help on this song...?!

Can anyone tell if the artist switches in this song or not?
Does she just belt it all out, even during the chorus? Can I pull off switching on..."how did we get h-ere..."?

I want to sing this song, because I figured out the chords on the piano.
YouTube - Decode by Paramore LYRICS on screen

But in the Chorus, does Hayley Williams switch to her classical voice from her lean voice (on the high notes in the chorus??
ex: "How did we get -here...?"

And if so, when does she make the switch? She's been dubbed to have "powerhouse vocals"...but I heard her sing live, how does she hit those notes?

****Decode****
How can I decide what's right?
When you're clouding up my mind
I can't win your losing fight
All the time

Nor could I ever own what's mine
When you're always taking sides
But you won't take away my pride
No, not this time
Not this time

(Chorus)
How did we get here
When I used to know you so well?
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know....
***

I will be doing a softer slower piano version of this, sort of like the song "Heaven" by DJ Sammy, only the Candlelight version.

***and please no lectures on the song choice. It's for a friend who really likes Paramore.

switches what?

is this a live recording on your pocket cassette
or a milli vanilli dumber simpson SND lip sync version

is this some mega studio mishmash mix and remix with
f/x up the gazoo

one guy i know learned how to hit those notes by years and years of lessons and practice

might have better luck in a singers forum than a recording one
if singing is your issue

I couldn't find the forum to put this.
I didn't really listen to the song, but I couldn't tell if she just belted the whole thing out, and if I should try, or if I just sing in a head voice or do a pop switch voice thing and try to make it artistic...idk

This is a preformance thing, but i might want to record. maybe.

Umm, I'm not sure what "pop switch" or "artistic" mean in these cases. I'd start by listening to the song.

It sounds to me like you are over thinking your approach and if you just sang the song, it would all take care of itself.

Yep. Use the ears. They are what music is made for, correct?

I knew a guy who insisted that you could excite a female with a mega bass heavy car audio system with the right bass cd. I never got it to work for me, but that would be an example of a non-ear function of music.

Hmm... You have a point, Brandon.

I've seen many girls "riding" the big low-end speakers in dance clubs, so there is something to that. When I've had the chance to talk to any of them about it, they seem to equate it to the spin cycle on washing machines. Vibrational therapy, I guess.

Looks like I might have to qualify my earlier statement a bit, eh? Heh.
